Questions we expect you might have

What activities will there be for my children?

There will be a variety of activities available dependent on the ages of children we have RSVP's for. You can expect to find a reading area, some colouring in for older children, toys such as Duplo and sensory items such as jelly, flowers frozen in ice, excavation tubs with edible 'dirt' and so on.

Is the event suitable for my newborn?

We will create an area where you can lie your child on mats/blankets so that they can enjoy being around other children and will be clear to everyone that children should be supervised at all times.

Do I need to supervise my child?

Yes! Please ensure that your child is supervised at all times and if they are particularly active, please ensure that they don't move items from the different activity areas where possible.

The event is pay as you feel, where will my money go?

Any money given for the event will go to the libraries service to help them put on more events for children and babies. There will be information available so you can learn about the other events they already host that may be of interest.

What can we expect from the event?

The event will be reasonably informal with a number of activity stations set up around the room. You will be greeted as you arrive and directed to areas dependent on the age of your child and encouraged to talk to other attendees.

As the event is drawing to a close, everyone will be guided down to the children's library for a story.

Is there room for my pushchair?

There is limited space in the lift that takes us up to the second floor so it is recommended that you bring your child in a sling/wrap where possible.

What time can we arrive from?

You can arrive from 10am and we will have an official start with a short introduction at 10.30am.

Are Dads welcome?

Definitely! If you're a Dad wanting to attend with your little one(s) you're welcome to attend too. Unfortunately Digital Parents didn't quite have the same ring to it as Digital Mamas!
