The Leeds digital sector has grown exponentially over the past 10 years and there are a wide number of us who work in this area; whether we're freelance, in an agency or working in-house.
One of the main things I realised while pregnant is that many of us have limited maternity packages and flexible working options for our return to work which can limit our opportunities to meet other likeminded parents.
I wanted to create a space where people could attend a baby and toddler group on a weekend which could be moulded to the group's interests and signpost people to other events and groups in the city.
This group will be a place where you can allow your child to play safely (with supervision) and you'll meet other parents that you'll have more in common with other than the fact that you have children.
Whether you want to talk to someone else to see if your experience of the sector is what should be expected, converse about avoiding screen time or generally meet up with people where you know you can chat about something other than your child, this space is for you.
The group doesn't exist to make a profit - any income will go to the libraries to support their events budget, and there is the potential for other related events to be held dependent on the groups interests.
